Genia is free of charge
Yes, Genia is available for both iOS and Android.
Genia can receive information from devices via Bluetooth, for example a spirometer or a scale. The data can be imported automatically into Genia, or you can choose to do it manually.
Currently there is a limit of one child for each user account. However, a new version will be released in the spring of 2022 allowing for several children connected to one account.
Genia is available in English, Swedish and Spanish. If you change the language in your phone settings, the language automatically changes in Genia as well.
In the Genia app, go to Settings > My network. Swipe the person you want to disconnect to the left and press “Delete”.
The “Antibiotics Check-in” is a feature in the Genia app which helps you and your care team to get an overview of your antibiotic intake over time. It a cooperation between all CF Centers in Sweden, the Cystic Fibrosis medical working group, the National Quality Register CF, the National Federation Cystic Fibrosis and Genia.
1. When you use Genia, your information is saved in your own personal and private database.
2. When you choose to send a report through Genia, the information in the report is shared with your local Care Team at your CF Center. The information is encrypted, so only your Care Team can take part of it.
3. The report is transferred and attached to your current visit in your EHR.
In the Genia app, go to Settings > My network > Invite. There you can find a code that you give to anyone that you wish to invite to your network. The invited person creates their own user account in Genia, selecting that they want to join an existing network, and enters the code.
When several users are connected to a network (often parents, partner etc) they can share information, such as information about treatments, visits to the clinic, observations and more. They can also chat within the network.
